Issey Miyake fragrances were all designed by the namesake, Issey Miyake, a Japanese fashion designer.  While Miyake was originally known for his clothing lines that were technology driven, he also became very popular for his exclusive line of perfumes.  Today, many people are still in search of the Issey Miyake line of fragrances because there was something just as special about them as the clothing lines by Issey Miyake.

The first fragrance by Issey Miyake was launched in 1992.  It was called L’eau d’Issey for women and is more of an aquatic floral scent.  It is one of the lighter scents that cater to women who prefer that range over the heavier perfumed scents.  The design of the bottle was very personal to Miyake and was based on the view of the moon behind the Eiffel Tower from his Paris apartment.

Two years later, he released an Issey Miyake for men product called L’eau d’Issey pour Homme.  Further to that in 2004 and 2006, he created two other fragrances for men.  It would be quite accurate to say that the Issey Miyake line catered to both male and female.

What he has done every year since 2007 is to release particular fragrances for ladies for a limited time.  The idea behind this concept was to include a guest perfumer for each fragrance to be put out on the market.  The range of fragrances included ‘Drop on a Petal’ and ‘Reflections in a Drop’.

Issey Miyake perfume and fragrances for men will continue to be popular because of the concepts Miyake continues to use to impact the fragrance market.  By offering limited selections of fragrances, it adds to the interest and appeal of his line and as such will continue to sell very well for years to come.  You can count on that!
